What is a Technical Survey?

TZC employs non-destructive testing, to carry out technical Surveys on behalf of our Clients.

‘The process finds abnormalities in a test object without physically damaging the unit. Unlike some inspections, non-destructive testing encompasses much more than the appearance of an object or the physical measurement of dimensions of the test specimen.’

We use the most powerful technology available. Our equipment is fully calibrated. Our Surveyors are specifically trained and engage in CPD. We use equipment which is compliant with the ATEX directive (94/9/ED).

We presently carryout the following Surveys.

  • Compressed Air Leak Surveys.
  • Steam Trap Survey.
  • Vacuum Survey.
  • Thermal Image Survey.
  • Motor Bearing Survey.

Why carryout a Technical Survey?

Airborne/Structure borne ultrasonic inspection can be used in practically every facility and industry for example: pressure/vacuum leaks, bearing monitoring, steam traps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, gear/gear boxes, pumps (including cavitation),motors, bag houses, and electrical gear, surveys have become popular and profitable to use in industries such as,

  • Facilities/Buildings & Ground,
  • Chemical/Petrochemical,
  • Gas/Gas Distribution,
  • Pulp & Paper,
  • Power Generation/Distribution,
  • Aviation/Space,
  • General Manufacturing,
  • Automotive/Transportation,
  • Material/Composites,
  • Food Processing,
  • Waste Water Treatment,
  • Marine.

Surveys form part of the preferred regime in facilities whether it be, Reactive, Preventive, Predictive or Proactive maintenance is used by resident engineering managers.
